BPELSG Examination Statistics

  

Each year, nearly 3,000 engineers apply for their engineering license in California through the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists (BPELSG), with an overall passing rate of approximately 40% to 50%. The most sought-after exams in California are the Civil Seismic Principles exam and the Civil Engineering Surveying exam, both of which must be passed to obtain licensure. Together, these two exams attract no fewer than 2,500 applicants annually.
